Kalkan

Kalkan City Guide

Kalkan is a beautiful unspoiled Mediterranean style village between Patara and Kaputas beaches. There are many things to do in Kalkan, day or night. By day visit one of the stunning beaches along the coastline, ranging from the popular 18 kilometers sandy Patara beach (also very popular with turtles) to the secluded, empty beaches in the other direction, or you could hire a boat, complete with skipper, from the local harbor. The boat will take you around beautiful islands, coves, and bays where you can swim and snorkel in the turquoise sea. You can also enjoy fantastic onboard dining. Kaputas Beach is also possible with a boat trip but this is dependant on the weather. Kalkan also has a small public beach near the marina if you prefer to stay local.

Highlights of the city

Kalkan houses are two floors and situated on narrow streets with begonvil flowers cascading down the walls. Kalkan is perfect for those looking for a relaxing and stress-free holiday. There are small Hotels in Kalkan and lots of Villas and apartments for hire.
